Writing Life

Sometimes when you lead such a grueling writing life as I, you need to take a break and recharge the batteries. I do so by getting out and mingling with the people, or fans as they prefer to be called. I usually accomplish this by signing books for said fans.I had a lot of fun with Tristi Pinkston and Daron Fraley this last time out-I was even blessed with having so many people who already had my book that none needed to come out and get any this time.

  1. What a fun group! If I was there I would have come. But I already have your book. And Tristi's. And Daron's, actually. So far, my enthusiasm and desire for attending book signings is for naught. I live to far away. Soon, though, I will attend someone's book signing! Anyone! I just have to time it right.

  3. I just barely met Daron, what a nice guy. Bruce and I can't wait to read The Thorn.

  4. Thanks Shannon.

Karen, Daron is a very nice guy. We (me and Tristi) were actually cracking jokes about that, the day this was taken.

  5. Shoot. I was there and didn't see you? I went early on. Did you go later? Gee golly I'm blind! Too much looking-at-a-screen time - I guess I'll blame it on that. Glad you had a good time at the signing. Wish I could have introduced you to the Mrs. Maybe next time.

  6. Okay, that last line cracked me up. Way to see the positive in it, and what a great couple of writers to hang with.

  7. Thanks Kim-the only book I sold that day was in the parking lot.
But I truly had a great time just hanging with Tristi and Daron.

  8. I wished I could have been there! I missed this signing and the authorpalooza because we had a family b-day party. Psssh. I should have bought myself a gift instead! ;)

  9. I had no idea what that meant, so I looked it up. It describes our situation perfectly! Nice one, David.

    Heh-Thanks Charles.

David-I really like your work, I am sure we'll meet and read more of each other.

  12. I enjoyed seeing you again. I'm sorry you didn't sell more books. Yeah, I was one of those "already have it" fans. Just remember we're all eagerly awaiting the next book.
