On account of some snarky comments I made about the History Channel's Apocalypse Island, I was invited to do a review about it over at 2012 Hoax.Org which was interesting. Normally I am all about speculation and the possible "What-If's" but this time I'm on the other side.
Read my scathing/entertaining review of Apocalypse Island: Pulp Fiction here. It's also cool that I am now listed beside Penn and Teller on their guest spot.
What Turner (not the infamous pirate) wants you to see.
And what you get.

That's cool. Congrats on that. My wife has gotten invited to review books for nature publishers several times because of her blog. So someone is listening.
Thanks, Charles. She does intresting art too from the little I have seen.
The history channels been going down hill for a long time in my opinion, but this is disgusting.
Loved Choose Your Own Adventure when I was a kid. I used to go back and read all the adventures.
Thanks Mary, I still have a bunch of dogeared copies from ages ago that I plan to hand on down to my kids as soon as they are a little older.
although, our kids are pretty much a live action "choose your own adventure" even without the books.....
Seriously, they see that in the mountain scape?
um...
riiiiiiggggghhhhhhttttt.... :P
Now you know why I wrote up my piece.
....so is it a puma kitty that's supposed to be stalking a head?
You know they can really mess you up by proposing their ideas first (i.e. showing the pics of the sculptures and a drawing of kitty first, then show the ridgeline.) It can play tricks in your head if things are ordered that way first. It's like...just show the ridgeline and let people decide.
Looks like a nice ridgeline, could be fun to walk all over.
if you want the flavor of bacon in a dip.......
Showing the kitty and head first was mny deal. I couldn't find the computer enhanced pics that they showed on the actual show. But thats what they showed you-computer enhanced pics and then they barely gave you glimpses at the real thing.
Plain stone ridgeline, weathered albeit intrestingly.
I placed the Easter island head and a crouching jaguar tattoo to show all y'all roughly what he is hoping you to see.
My bad for showing those first-because without the computer enhanced images-I didn't have the imagination to even see what the heck I was supposed too.
Fantastic review, unfortunately for me I haven't been blessed to see this miraculous piece of cinematic wonder so I'll refrain from my own commment on the show. However, I vehemently agree; History Channel has, on more than one occasion in the last few years, disappointed.
Oh Holy CRAP! I just looked at the picture...*stewing*...HOW did this show even get approved!?!
And that Charlie is the greatest mystery of them all.
