Forgive the puns, I am high on Morphine at the moment. In less than 24 hours I'm getting my gallbladder removed thanks to some pesky painful stones. I woke up at almost 6 in the am, in incredible pain in my chest. I never wake up at six if I can help it, I am an unrepentant night owl. In any case it was bad enough that for someone who has never been to the hospital for themselves since birth I gladly went. My biggest regret is that my second run-through on edits is going to be slowed, surgery is a pain-in my time crunch.

The surgery went well and now I am just sore and am going to rewrite how a character feel's about their wounds. I must say I did not enjoy Morphine at all. The way it hits your head all warm and pressing, to me I don't even understand how anyone could get to liking it. I hated it, but I am a person who has almost always toughed it out and avoided taking anything except on rare dire occasions, this was actually the first time I ever had morphine.

Yeah, I have no great desire to try it myself. But everyone else seems to dig it, so I thought it could be your silver lining. Alas.
