David J. West writes dark fantasy and weird westerns because the voices in his head won’t quiet until someone else can hear them. He is a great fan of sword & sorcery, ghosts and lost ruins, so of course he lives in Utah with his wife and children.

I think those could be called "dress-up undies." Really, on a kids show couldn't she wear a little bit more. (And who, on their production staff, thought that was appropriate attire for a kid's show?)
I just read about this--and saw it. But even more disturbing is the show's producers maintaining that she isn't really naked because the top of her body is covered in mesh. Duh!!
Ann
Lisa-I have no idea-that's why it got cut.
Ann-people are strange.
Dress up clothes...yeah. Maybe that's why Elmo ran off?
L.T.-that made me laugh.
Sesame Street has come a long way. My favorite is still the Carmen singing grapefruit.
I'm not even sure I remember that one Michelle-but yes-quite a bit different from when I grew up.
I groan at the thought of a Veggie Monster.
Honestly- I don't see what the hopla is all about, kids see next to nothing more at home than anywhere else. There's something wrong with a society that only has clothes to ridicule really. Can't we find something else to do with our time- maybe you know saving kids from hunger, bad parents, the list can go on.. instead of criticizing tv shows for kids?
I have two girls 9 and 6 and they will have boobs one day- so what...I think it was a cute video really.
Summer- my daughter keeps begging me to replay it. She likes Elmo running away.
Personally, I'm with Summer on this one. My kids see more skin in the mall than they showed on that video. Granted more clothing would be better, but in the whole scheme of things, it wasn't that bad.
Elmo didn't like the dress either. That's why he took off. Poor guy was in shock!
Andrea-very true.
Dan-he is a sensitive soul.
My friend, who is an Oscar the Grouch fan, grabbed a still shot where you can see Oscar popping up from the garbage can to take a look.
I told him, yeah, she's probably dirty enough even for Oscar ;)
I dunno. I always think the U.S. has a contingent of the populace that way overreacts when it comes to breasts. Then again, it wouldn't have been too hard to dress Perry up with a little more covering. It's not rocket surgery to figure out that some parents would get upset.
Easier all around to just know that and deal with it. Perry can run around half-naked anytime she wants - she didn't need to on 'Sesame Street.'
Kind of a catchy tune, though
Paul-I saw that, Oscar popping up. Her outfit did seem kind of shortsighted, but the publicity has only helped her.
Charles-I like the song,I've liked it since it came out almost 2 years ago-slight change of wording for Sesame Street.
