Looks like my local paper got the jump on all the other News sources and did a piece about me and my book first. The Timpanogos Times surprised me and ran a feature in the social section. I was surprised because I thought this wouldn't come out for a couple more weeks. I suppose the actual review of my book will be in the next couple weeks. But Hey thanks Timp Times for beating all the rest.
I will add the link to the article on their website as soon as its up. Paper is ahead of web here.

That looks like a fantastic article! What a cool layout! Hoping it's online so I can read it.
I am thinking when they update the website-I just looked and it will probably be in a couple days.
Okay, how unbelievably amazing must it be to see yourself featured in your local paper like that? Congrats David!
David, that's fantastic! Did you send them a press packet or did they contact you?
Kim-it is a little surreal, especially cuz I was thinking it was a way's out.
Tamara-I went in and talked to them and they were very agreeable to help support a local artist.
Good for you, going in person to the paper. They wrote a great article. I like how they highlighted your interest in Zelph. I agree his story needed to be told!!
Mary-actually Debi wrote it, but thanks.
I must admit - - today is the first day time that I've heard about you, your story, or your book. GREAT title, and I love the book cover. I had a hard time reading the image of the article. Is this your debut novel? Congratulations.
That's Ok Ben, today is the first day I have heard of you too.
Thanks. Glad you like the title and cover. It is my debut novel and it will be available shortly, I will post here as soon as I know more.
Though my first signing will be April 16th, at the Borders in Murray, Utah 6-8 or until they kick us out.
Congratulations on the story and with pictures yet -- what a plus! This is a great example of something I talked about in my post on Promoting Yourself. There are a lot of opportunities to generating publicity by turning it into a "news" story. Papers look for stories that their readers would be interested in reading. Being creative writers we can certainly come up with interesting story angles about what we are doing.

Thanks Lee, I appreciate it.
Congratulations, Dave! Nice, concise write-up.
Thanks Bruce, soon enough I'll have to be telling the local bookshops about RotC and promoting "Our" works out here in the Rockies.
